BMW Joytown

BMW India recently hosted the first-ever Joytown Delhi edition, where they revealed the BMW models that will be launched in 2023 in India.

Joytown is the luxury carmaker’s music and driving festival where car aficionados get an exclusive immersive brand experience. The festival also features mindboggling stunts and drifts performed by experts on BMW cars. Live performances by top artists act like the cherry on top of the exciting event.

The German automaker has already launched two new models at the Delhi events and is gearing to launch five more at the event’s Mumbai & Bengaluru editions in January 2023, bringing the overall line-up to an amazing seven. The company introduced a mixture of BMW sedans and hatchbacks.

BMW XM

Unveiled at Joytown Delhi, this M-series comes from BMW’s outstanding motorsports heritage, combining motor-racing functionality with a sporty aesthetic appeal. It is the company’s flagship SUV in India. The BMW XM is the first plug-in hybrid version of the series, with a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with an electric motor, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.

BMW M340i Facelift

Also launched at the event, this will be the first-ever BMW car with an M engine that will be made in India. M340i Facelift is the updated version of the top-of-the-line 3 Series.

BMW i7

Set to be launched in January 2023, it will be the Bavarian carmaker’s flagship electric sedan in the Indian market. The car’s top-spec xDrive 60 variant has a 101.7 kWh battery pack offering a range of 624 km per charge, one of the top ranges in India.

New-gen BMW X1

This is the automaker’s new-generation version of its entry-level SUV, X1. This third-gen luxury compact SUV is slightly larger than its precursor, with a boxier design accompanied by a larger iteration of BMW’s signature kidney grille. The new design gives this new-gen X1 a sportier and more muscular look. It also delivers more power thanks to its turbocharged four-cylinder engine.

BMW X7 Facelift

The BMW X7 Facelift is the flagship three-row SUV of the automotive giant. Apart from the redesigned front fascia, and BMW’s latest curved infotainment system, it will have a host of new features. The car will be available in both petrol and diesel variants.

New-gen BMW 7 Series

This will be the seventh-gen avatar of the 7 Series, with a contemporary design, hi-tech features, and many more upgrades. It is expected to be offered in both the petrol and diesel variants, along with the plug-in-hybrid petrol motor.

BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine

This will be the last launch in January 2023 and will be the latest version of the BMW 3 Series Gran Limo Facelift, which was launched worldwide in May 2022. Apart from the design tweaks and new features, it will have its predecessor’s 2.0-liter petrol and diesel engine options with an 8-speed auto transmission. Apart from the redesigned headlamps, kidney grille and bumpers, the biggest change is the 3.0-liter, 6-cylinder turbo-petrol engine paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system. It can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in a whopping 4.4 seconds.

With so many BMW cars set to be launched in 2023, the upcoming year is surely going to be exciting!
